What is this free security check?
A practical check of basic security settings on a small business computer and network, based on what is actually configured rather than questionnaires.
Is it really free?
Is it really free?
Do clients have to buy anything?
No. Some people are happy to fix things themselves. Some already have access to IT help. Some ask us for help. All are fine as long as they make themselves safer and more secure online!
Am I recommending IT services?
No. You’re simply passing on a free option your clients can choose to use. You are not endorsing fixes or providing technical advice.
Does this replace their IT provider?
No. It’s just a baseline check. Indeed their existing IT provider, if they have one, might use our free report to fix things up for them.
Is there any risk?
No, the check is read only and does not access files or passwords or browsing history or anything other than settings and configs.
How much time does this take me?
None beyond sharing the link once if you choose to.
